Programmes

The programme for each visitor will be composed in close cooperation with on the one hand the visitor him/herself and on the other Dutch heritage bodies, cultural organisations and the Dutch embassy or consulate in the visitors' country. The programme will be devised using the background and interests of the visitor as well as the interests of the Dutch cultural field. Programmes may include visits to cultural heritage organisations, relevant government authorities and other related cultural institutions. A visit is normally restricted to a maximum period of a week, unless there are relevant reasons for a visit of a longer duration. The Netherlands Institute for Heritage guides the visitor throughout the visit if necessary.

Visitors are responsible for their own travel and sickness insurance arrangements.

The programme is not aimed at merely bi-lateral exchanges. In such event, up to half of the usual travel subsidy may be granted.
